Decisions

slideshow-38Okay, everyone. I’ve made up my mind.

I’m going to the country to stay with my cousin.

I figured it up, and it will cost almost $350 just to rent the truck to haul this stuff—not including at least another $100 or more in gasoline.

I can replace this junk used for about $250, so it is not feasible to haul it all. Guess I’m having one hell of a fire sale!

I can put mine and Katie’s main possessions in the van in one or two trips. I will probably need to make 2 trips at least anyway between court and the move. The rest can be left or sold.

Talk about a fresh start! I brought waay more when I moved to Western KY than I will be taking when I leave! To come here it took 2 car loads, a pickup and a large trailer packed full.. and it will all be reduced to 2 van loads.

There’s something kinda sad in that.

I have one friend in the area that is seriously upset. He was the one who convinced me to move to Western Ky to begin with and is really upset that I’m moving away.

I don’t quite understand why he is so upset, however. We do talk on the phone routinely, but he rarely comes by and we haven’t been really close for years.

I have sat listening to him on the phone this evening and he acts like he’s losing his wife or something. He has really made me feel low tonight, and even he admits he is just being selfish.

Which is why I am going to continue to take care of business and deal with this imperfect situation the best that I can. I want happiness, I want to be free of that drive, and by golly I’m kinda looking forward to a fresh start.

I texted my cousin and asked her once again if she still wanted a house guest. She asked when I was coming :) . So it is official.

Let the games begin!

have you asked the new land owner about buying the trailer from you? Can you rent a pull behind thing to get some of the larger items so you don’t have to start all over again? I mean it can be refreshing but it can irritating too.

I don’t have a trailer hitch and honestly don’t trust my old van to pull something heavy. I honestly would rather have a fresh start than bother with all of it if I can.

I am not too concerned with starting over. Part of me will miss some of these things but I’m actually looking forward to a fresh start.
