Inspiration for a Stay At Home Mom (SAHM)

I found this on Facebook; I’ve no idea who to credit but it expresses the desires of so many children that I had to share it here:

Slow down mummy, there is no need to rush,
slow down mummy, what is all the fuss?
Slow down mummy, make yourself a cup tea.
Slow down mummy, come and spend some time with me.

Slow down mummy, let’s put our boots on and go out for a walk,
let’s kick at piles of leaves, and smile and laugh and talk.
Slow down mummy, you look ever so tired,
come sit and snuggle under the duvet and rest with me a while.

Slow down mummy, those dirty dishes can wait,
slow down mummy, let’s have some fun, let’s bake a cake!
Slow down mummy I know you work a lot,
but sometimes mummy, its nice when you just stop.

Sit with us a minute,
& listen to our day,
spend a cherished moment,
because our childhood is not here to stay!

It is to these children that I dedicated my book Stay at Home, Mom – Even if You’re Single! It is my hope that these little ones have their dreams of a stay-at-home parent come true.

Thank you so much for your help during my current challenge. You are awesome!

That was beautiful, I cherished every moment with my children and now have even more time to enjoy my grand children. I was having a conversation with a friend just this weekend where I mentioned that I believe children/teens would be so much better off if even one parent could be home with the children and know what they are doing, the result would be imo less crime, and better adjusted young people.
