Thanks to you, this book is a reality. That idea was white hot and I’ve been working on this since I read your suggestion.

Thank you!

  1. Annie: At 71, I have decided I don’t want to be embarrassed after I die when my kids go through all my stuff. I don’t want them asking themselves, “Why did mom have all this stuff?” So I’ve been doing a modified Swedish Death Cleaning. I have discovered, to my chagrin, bottles of lotion and shampoo and conditioner. As well as 3 tubes of toothpaste (a good deal at Sam’s Club!) After much thought, I have decided my mantra for the year is “Use It Up”. whether it’s foil, or butter, or toothpaste; nothing new gets bought unless there is only a smidgen left.

Thank you so much for your newest book. It has been very timely in my life right now.

    1. Hi Chris!

Isn’t it amazing how easily that things can pile up? I went through my own home over the past year and despite my minimalist tendencies, I had several containers of lotion, three different types of shampoo, and a bunch of miscellaneous cleaning products that the kid had stuffed away back in the day. That’s not including my closet!

I started using up what I have and am still working on it. My wardrobe is a lot leaner now and most of the other supplies are gone, but it feels so good to empty yet another container. My chest freezer is my next project. That one will be scary!

I’m glad you found the book helpful! Please feel free to pass on a copy. If we work together, we really can save the planet.
