Silence has a sound.

It is the sound of water through the pipes.

It is the hum of electric in the wires.

It is the sigh of an ancient house,

the wind in the trees,

and the rain on the roof.

Silence has a sound but we can’t hear it over the music, television, and endless conversation.

I have heard the silence and it has changed me.
